Spring is finally here and heralds the opening of the Brighton May Festival 2016. I’m delighted to announce our special festival exhibition at the gallery. I’ll be showcasing my new and recent paintings and prints. Also on show are the amazing ceramic sculptures by Vilas Silverton, together with works by Fernando Guibert.
I'm very much looking forward to welcoming you to the Gallery on Friday to present a major new collection of work including new paintings, sculptures, collages, prints and ceramics from Davide Galbiati, Alison Rankin, Andy Waite, Julie Kuyath, Fernando Guibert, Radek Andrle, Vilas Sliverton and, of course, myself.
All this plus Fernando Guibert will be giving a short talk at 7pm on his inspirations and creative process. And the renowned Moshimo Restaurant will be providing tasty treats for the evening.

The gallery's recent expansion means we can give artists the opportunity to show you more of what they can do. I have invited our regular landscape artist, Jonathan Smith, to produce a new body of work especially for us. In Jonathan's paintings he continues his exploration of the relationships between light and land, colour and space, surface and depth in this stunning collection of Scottish landscape
I am delighted to invite you to join us on the evening of Friday 20th November from 6:30pm to 8:30pm, to celebrate the gallery's 2nd birthday and the start of the Christmas Artists' Open Houses.
I will be showcasing the work of four new artists alongside new pieces from regular artists; Alison Rankin's twist on still life paintings, Felicity Walbrick's exquisite drawings and drypoint, Fernando Guibert's fantastical drawings, prints and etchings and Margaret Curtis's Japanese inspired ceramic vessels.
We've been hard at work in the gallery opening up the lower ground floor, which has more than doubled our space. Over the next couple of days we'll be hanging an exciting collection of artwork from both our regular artists and some new to the gallery.

Over the coming months we'll be announcing our new exhIbition and events programme but for now we'll be closing the gallery for two weeks from Monday 31st August and re-opening on Friday 18th September.
