Snowdogs by the Sea VIP Launch

Today saw the launch of the Snowdogs by the Sea project in aid of the The Martlet's Hospice.  This is a Martlets Hospice and Wild in Art initiative in aid of fundraising for the charity.

My Snowdog, named Southdowns Dog, is sponsored by the renowned Burt Brill and Cardens (BBC), one of the longest established firms of solicitors in Brighton.  I was honoured that BBC approached me to be the artist to paint our dog.  They have been following my work for a number of years and felt I would be the artist who would best represent them.

To find out more about how Southdowns Dog came to life head on over to my artist's site here.

This evening 15 of the 45 Snowdogs were revealed to the media and sponsors at a gala event at the Brighton Marina.  I'm delighted that Southdowns Dog was included on the red carpet. It was great to meet local celebrities Norman Cook (aka Fatboy Slim) and author Peter James amongst many others who have generously sponsored the event.

Over the coming weeks the Snowdogs will be on display all over the city of Brighton and Hove. You can even download an app that will guide you to your nearest dog and help you track them all down. All of the Snowdogs will finally auctioned on the 6th December.
