States of Being
SHOWCASING the surreal paintings of STEVE FRICKEr
28TH JUNE - 18TH AUGUST
Love After Love by Steve Fricker
This Summer, KMA Gallery invites you to experience the surreal world of painter Steve Fricker with a solo show entitled States of Being.
Through this body of work, Steve continues to explore the primal need for myth, habit and ritual in order to function and rationalise our existence. States of Being is a mediation on our existence as humans and the varying guises under which we each appear.

New Collection
MÉLANIE BOURGET
We Are All of Us Stars by Mélanie Bourget
Causing a scene, Mélanie Bourget’s latest collection landed just in time for Brighton Pride Weekend and will no doubt continue to capture the attention of visitors to the gallery over the next few weeks.
Her strongest collection yet, this body of work is overflowing with show-stopping, evocative characters, complete with the typical embellishments and details that fans of Mélanie’s sculptures are always excited to see.
We advise moving quickly if you want to acquire one of these charming and highly-collected pieces.
Artist of the Month
MOIRA HAZEL
Orange Jug with Flowers by Moira Hazel
August’s Artist of the Month is the vibrant Moira Hazel.
Taking inspiration from artists such as Matisse and Hundertwasser, Moira’s approach to painting sees brushstrokes that are bold and expressive; building up thin but purposeful layers to evoke playful interpretations of the landscape reminiscent of hot summer days and exploring new locations abroad.
Emboldened to escape the confines of realism, some of her latest pieces offer a striking view of still life compositions that seem fractured and jostling with patterns.
