UPCOMING EXHIBITION
Whispers
An exhibition featuring Valérie Wartelle and Davide Galbiati
20th September— 3rd November
Wisps of Dusk by Valérie Wartelle
Introducing the complex textile works of Valérie Wartelle and a new contemplative figurative sculptural collection by Davide Galbiati. Our autumn show offers viewers a suspension between abstraction, landscape and the link with the body and spirit.
Whispers is an invitation to reconnect with the quiet knowing we hold within, creating a space for silent contemplation. In doing so, it reveals a subtle and intriguing message.
Artist of the Month
JESSIE MOOY
Lady with Wild Cat by Jessie Mooy
October’s Artist of the Month is Jessie Mooy
Jessie’s sculptural works centre around her symbolic Earth Mothers - women who embody guardianship of the natural world and celebrate the profound connection between humanity and animals. Each figure expresses both strength and tenderness, honouring the vital protective role of the feminine in nature.
Her latest collection offers a captivating mix of depictions, from busts to full figures, blending influences from traditional Renaissance portraiture to more contemporary interpretations of women at rest alongside domestic or wild animals. For the first time, Jessie also presents some significantly larger works, adding a bold new dimension to her practice.
As her only UK representative, we advise moving quickly if you want to acquire one of these charming and highly-collected pieces.
Introducing
TIM RAWLINSON
Trewyn Light by Tim Rawlinson
KMA Gallery is pleased to introduce world-renowned British glass artist Tim Rawlinson to our stable of artists.
Tim's work celebrates the architectural properties of glass, using colour, shape and light to play with perception. At its core is a desire to encourage viewers to slow down in the face of an increasingly fast-paced world, taking time to absorb the present and what sits in front of our eyes.
Using a combination of blown, cast and polished techniques, Tim creates optical illusions, shifting shadows and reflections that distort both colour and form.
