Klaus W. Rieck
Klaus creates archetypal and symbolic forms. They exist for themselves; they carry their meaning in themselves, not wanting to be a simple depiction.

For Klaus, the stone is a medium to give shape to an inner idea. The stone also becomes the object of his artistic expression. The different surfaces, broken, finely cut or highly polished, reveal their interiors, inviting you to explore visually and by touch.
He creates archetypal and symbolic forms. They exist for themselves; they carry their meaning in themselves, not wanting to be a simple depiction. His sculptures are an expression of the essence of metaphysical being. They appeal to the observer, encouraging reflection and contemplation. -
Klaus is a German sculptor who lives and works in Berlin, where he studied Sculpture and Architecture at the Art Academy of Berlin. A sculptor since 1996, he has exhibited in Germany and abroad and participated in various Stone Sculptor Symposia. In addition to his artistic work, he works on the restoration and reconstruction of sculptural components for historic buildings.
Although he originally had ambitions to become a painter, his first experience with sculpting in stone proved very influential for him. From the outset he developed a love for the material and a fascination for its formability. He knew he had to become a sculptor.
