Marco Minozzi was born in Rome in 1962. At the age of 14, he began a study of design, of the figure and of perspective that has engaged him for many years. Subsequently, he studied the technique of oil painting on canvas, learning from the ancient masters of the 15th and 16th Centuries, mastering the secrets concerning the preparation of the colours, the methods and the materials.

He strives to create a representation of a new urban landscape, blended into a monochromatic and earthy mixture. Painting and photographic inspiration are used to obtain a visual corpus that combines the historical context, objective detachment and optimal image control, avoiding excessive emotional involvement; all in favour of a new aesthetic and an unexpected beauty, finding the ideal balance between realistic precision and primacy of painting.

In his paintings are present all the experiences lived by the artist, the rembrandtiano colour and an elaborate, real and current city image. These constitute the secret ambitions of the author: the rediscovery of the archetype and the construction of a new idea of landscape.
